What Causes Rashes On The Torso Along With Fever, Headache And Fatigue?

default
Posted on Sat, 28 Oct 2017
Question: I have a heavy menstrual cycle, almost uncontrollable bleeding with leaking. Then several days later I get a rash on my torso, it starts under the bra line and spreads around the belly to the back and becomes warm on the back. And even begins appearing on the inside of elbows. Splotchy, bright red dots that run together on my belly and back. The rash is warm to touch and then I believe I am running a low grade fever and slight headache and fatigue.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to hormonal changes or infection.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The rash with fever and fatigue can be infective in origin and needs a close examination for proper diagnosis. This can be related to hormonal imbalance also. The excessive bleeding can be related to perimenopausal hormonal changes. You can start with Pause MF to control the bleeding and consult a gynecologist for proper hormonal tablets to control the bleeding.

Thanks for the feedback.
I am thinking the rash might be hives. It has now spread down my arms and across my neck and shoulders. I don't seem to have a fever anymore. Still fatigue and my lower stomach is sore to touch and when I stand up.
I did have a positive ANA test years ago but they said that was non-indicative. My diet has not changed. We did harvest some tomatoes the last few days but I have been eating them off the vines all summer.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to hives.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The spreading rash can be due to hives. Local steroid cream and an oral anti allergic or a low dose steroid can help. It is best to consult a dermatologist for the prescription medicines.
The bleeding needs to be controlled with the help of medicines. Do start taking iron supplements till then.
Hope my answer is helpful.
