Brief Answer:
Neurological problem needs to be excluded.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. Based on these, a neurological problem needs to be excluded.

This would require:

1. MRI of lumbo-sacral spine,

2. Nerve conduction studies of all four limbs,

3. Serum vitamin B12 level.

If these tests have not been done, please get them done.

Cystitis/prostatitis is also a possibility. So, at this stage, please continue the antibiotics.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
May change to pregabalin.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

You may change from gabapentin to pregabalin. It may have a better effect on nerve-related symptoms.

Nerve conduction studies would reveal any nerve damage in legs and hands.

You should continue vitamin B12 supplements.

I would be pleased to see you if you make a trip to XXXXXXX any time.

Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
Vitamin B12 500 mcg would be fine.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Vitamin B12 500 mcg per day should be fine.

It would be useful to get the MRI of cervical and thoracic spine. Please keep me informed.

Best wishes,
