Posted on Tue, 15 Sep 2015
Question: Hi Dr XXXXXXX I am doing ok. I have started the progesterone but did some research and decided to go with the cream. My dr prescribed me 30mg every night. It will be two weeks Friday and am hoping it will kick in and help. I am still lacking in the energy department and still feeling bad. Maybe a little better than I was but definitely not normal. I am wondering if I may have a gluten intolerance. The only symptom I have is lack of energy and feeling bad though. I have no bowel issues at all. But I This weekend I had of carbs/gluten the Past two days have been worse.
What would you suggest?

Brief Answer:
Changes due to progesterone.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good to see you back and know you are doing good.

Progesterone is known to cause low energy, sleepy feeling and some lethargy. You might feel like resting more.

This has nothing to do with gluten intolerance.

This feeling is just because of progesterone and nothing else.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards

This is the way I was feeling before getting the progesterone. I was hoping the progesterone would solve the problems. is it a side effect that will get better?

Brief Answer:
Sugar control to be checked

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you felt this way before starting progesterone, then this is to do with sugar control. I suggest you repeat your sugar levels and see your diabetologist. This appears to be due to variation in blood glucose and not gluten.

This will get better if sugar control is improved.
