Suggest Treatment For Red Blister Like Rashes On Fingers

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Aug 2015
Question: I have a red blister like rash on the back of 2 fingers. Today I now have a small place on the palm of my hand. I have noticed the rash on one finger is larger today. It does not itch but burns from time to time. It seems more prevalent early in the day but seems to fade a little as the day progresses( not as red). It does not itch. I was born with eczema and it doesn't seem to be like any eczema I have had in the past. I haven't had an eczema flare up in years. It is nowhere else in my body. It is confined to back of hands.

Brief Answer:
A photo of the rash is needed for a more specific opinion...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Can you please send a photograph of the rash on the back of your hand so I can get a better idea of your current problem and give a more precise opinion?

From what you are describing, it might be due to possible allergy reaction to anything you might have been in contact (new detergent? working outside in yard?)

Fungal infection is another possibility especially if it is hot where you live (that might trigger fungal infection).

Looking forward to have the requested photo in!

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection of skin;anti-fungal cream to be added as following...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for providing the requested photos.

I have gone through them and noted the rash on both of your fingers and from what I have seen, I can say that it is a case of fungal infection of the skin. Cortisone cream cannot help alone. I advise to apply an anti-fungal cream (e.g. miconazole or clotrimazole) combined with cortisone cream.

To confirm if it is a fungal infection, you can run a microscopical examination of skin scrapping.

Hope it was of help!
