Brief Answer:
Please stop Bactrim and send an image for review!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this rash that you have mentioned. Having reviewed your medications, this is a possible side effect of bacterium. I will suggest that you stop Bactrim immediately. Also, forward an image to me for review so that I can also double check this. Depending on the findings, I will comment on whether there is need to go to the ER now or not.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Hi Dr,
Thanks for your advice. Attached is an image of the rash. I had the allergic reaction in response to the Cipro, not Bactrim, so is it necessary to stop the Bactrim?

Brief Answer:
Then, No!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If it is established that this allergy was caused by Cipro, then there is no point in stopping bactrim. This rash doesn’t necessitate an ER visit at this time. Be calm, relaxed and exercise some patience. This will slowly but surely fade away and most especially as the putative agent has XXXXXXX discontinued.

I wish you well and keep me updated!
