Should I Take Azoran Instead Of Prednisone For Polymyositis?

hello.my mother has been diagnosed with polymyosotis.her medication includes prednisone (high dosage due to which her face hs swollen) and nw the doctor sats he wl reduce prednisone and instead put her on azoran till thats the only medication she stays ob.she is experiencing trememdous side effects and is emotionally weakemned that she might nvr recover..cn u suggest iof the doctor hs prescribed the right medicine??

Hi,

First of all, you should mention the dosage form of prednisolone. If she has a swollen face then go for methyl Prednisolone starting 1/2 a tablet per day. When she doesn't get any side effects then increase to full tablet. Mention your mother's age too.
