Hi,
Was pap smear done? If, what was the findings. What Cervical operation was done? If the whole uterus was removed, there could be vaginitis.
You can get a discharge culture done to identify sensitive antibiotics.

Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Check for Trichomonas infestation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I went through your reports and history. It appears that your complaints are long standing for more than a year. The possible cause was erosion of cervix which has been treated. Do you have itching/ foul smell accompanying the yellow discharge. If so it is important to rule out Trichomoniasis. Since your reports show some pus cells, means there is some infection which could be causing concern.
Also Discuss with your consulting doctor regarding the trichomonas infestation.
However it should be noted that vaginal discharge can be associated with stress, nutritional status, physical activity, midcycle or personal hygiene.
Hope this helps.

Hi, I can totally opt out the possibility of trichomonas because i don't hv itchy feelings and smelly odor of discharge. Also i hv been doing the vaginal test very frequently from January to May this year . But the symptoms is nothing else. It's just always yellow. If you think it's cause by the operation, then what treatment will u suggest? Is it okay that i understand "few pus seen " could be ommitted because the report said normal genital flora? Could the symptoms gone by improving my immune system? If so, please be advice what should I do. Doctor J. Please help me.. Thank u..

Brief Answer:
Stop worrying about vaginal discharge.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Normal genital flora seen, means you do not have any infection. No itching or smelly odor means again no infections.

Now we have to look at other causes like nutrition, emotional stress, medications, oral contraceptive pills and sexual arousal.
If the quantity is too high, I would think of stress or oral contraceptive pills.

Your immune system is good as you do not have infection. However, if you need to improve it further you can have a protein rich diet like eggs, fish, red meat, pulses etc.
Yellow discharge is normal.
See if you can correlate with OCP, sexual arousal or stress. If there is any possible relation, look at it. If it increases more, then it is normal.

You should stop worrying about it, as it is normal and that would be causing stress and leading to excessive secretion. Maintain usual hygiene, it will only reduce. Avoid vaginal mucosal irritation or vaginal douching.
Stop all treatment related to yellow vaginal discharge. If there is itching or change in color, then you can start any treatment, until then do not worry.

Hope its helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound abdomen necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

Looking at the symptoms and current query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Due to stress and nutritional imbalance, you must be having abnormal periods. However, hopefully there is no possibility of pregnancy, i shall assume.

2. Did you follow any of the previous treatment, i mentioned. Do mention, during the treatment, did anything change?

3. Stress, malnutrition, underweight or overweight, no exercise - do mention some details about yourself, so I can help further.

4. Yellow discharge can be normally present. However, as your cycles are messed up, polycystic ovarian disease or hormonal abnormalities could be present. Have you got an ultrasound anytime?

Do let me know about previous solutions and what you did, so that I can give further opinion.

Hi Doctor, Thank you for your detail answer.
1. There is no possibility of pregnancy, I'm sure.

2. I don't have any treatment on me now. However, since last year, I Have been treated many kinds of antibiotics because chlamydia found last year at October. It changed to negative now. From October 2013 - May 2014, I have been treated azithromycin, doxycycline, levofloxacin, metronidazole, sparfloxacain.. Even tried Chinese herb medicine. Previous doctor said pus cell seen in the vaginal, they said it's infection. But how could I gonna get them out of my system, it's bothering me everyday when I see it.

3. weight not much changed. But I do always stress out about work, always thinking a lot.. Rarely do exercise. But I eat quite healthy..

4. I got a ultra sound test done at November 2013, the result said I have PCOS. But the period sometimes on time, sometimes not. Could PCOS cause yellow discharge? But yellow discharge have been stick to me for one year.. Period before last month was on time though..

Hi Doctor,

which kind of treatment should I get? Can i buy treatment directly at pharmacy which would not need a perscription? Thank you ...
doctor
Answered by Dr. Jyothi B L (22 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Cause needs to be identified.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
PCOS requires treatment based on cause. A complete evaluation of hormones, bodyweight, diet are necessary to identify the cause. Meet your doctor for the exact prescription of tests.

As the cause is not identified, pharmacy wont help.

Hope this helps. If you don't have any further queries you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
