Suggest Treatment For Painful Ribs On Both The Sides And Sore Upper Back

Question: Hi

I have had an ongoing issue for over a year now. I am 40 years old and quite healthy, exercise regularly and carry no excess weight.

my issues started with a painful left ribcage which I tried visiting a chiro and then a physio for as I had incredible pain in my upper spine at the same time.

I now have the following symptoms;
1. painful ribs both sides but more pronounced left side
2. constant "stitch" and occasional pain in left side
3. occasional diarrhea with yellow stool
4. painful kidneys
5 dizziness
6. elevated heartrate
7. random aches in joints such as knuckles and wrists and knees
8. pain after eating
9. sore upper back
10. I occasionally have traces of blood when I wipe after passing a stool

I have had blood tests done but the showed liver fine, kidneys needed more water intake, lungs fine, pancreas fine, cancer markers all fine etc etc. the latest blood tests showed macrocytosis but with no explanation of why? the pain is mainly in my left side below the ribcage and my ribs are sore. it is exacerbated after any physical exercise.

I have been quite a heavy drinker for a long time and was a smoker until 6 months ago.

any help would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Get done vitamin B12, thiamine, calcium and vitamin D3 levels.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you were heavy drinker and smoker, possibility of vitamin deficiency is more.
Vitamins like vitamin B12, D3 etc when deficient can cause similar kind of symptoms.
Calcium and thiamine deficiency is common in alcoholic and this can also cause similar symptoms.
So better to get done blood levels of vitamin B12, calcium, thiamine and vitamin D3.
And if deficient then you will need supplements.
Please rey me if you had these tests done or not.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
