Brief Answer:
female pattern hair loss.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.I can understand your concern.

Most common cause for thinning of hair in your case is female pattern hair loss.It is similar to androgenetic alopecia occuring in males.

In post menopausal females there is decrease in estrogen. This leads to counter increase in male hormone viz. testosterone. This leads to miniaturization of hair follicles along with atrpohy of hair roots and hair loss.In my opinion this is most suitable cause for hair loss in your case.

However along with this stress, nutritional deficiency, thyroid disorder are other common causes for hair loss in females.A detailed work up will be required to rule out all causes.

I hope this will help you.In case of any concern i will be happy to help you.Take care.
