Suggest Remedy For Pink Discoloration On The Penis Head

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Oct 2015
Question: yes. I have what looks like a burn on the end of my penis. the likelihood of an sdt would be very low. it its red to pink as apposed to purple on the surrounding skin. It does not look infected, nor is there any pain or itching. I'm 72 in good health. Obviously BPH. I've had it for a week and a half. sometimes it looks like its healing but I'm guessing because of friction it stops. It always looks better in the morning. Not willing to go nude to solve it. any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
Possible male penile candidiasis

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I understand that you are shy, but you should know that a diagnosis is accurate only with a physical examination. But I am here to help keeping your wishes and comfort in mind, and in my opinion I think this could possibly be a fungal infection for which my advise is as follows:

+Do not keep the region damp or moist
+Keep the region as dry and clean as possible
+Change your inner wear at least twice a day
+Shower at least once a day
+Dry the region well enough after a shower and each time after you use the toilet to go about your business
+If you have diabetes then please check on your blood sugar levels and work towards controlling it
+Most importantly, begin using a topical cream twice a day over the region (clotrimazole or miconazole creams) and one oral tablet of 150 mg fluconazole

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help. Please write back to me in about 2 weeks time after following this regimen and let me know if this regimen did not help you, and if it did then I wish you all the best and good health for your future.

Best wishes.

It seems that flucoazole is only available by prescription. Is it possible for you to email me one or possibly email one to my drugstore?

Brief Answer:
Unfortunately my prescription will not work there, can do without as well

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I am sorry my prescriptions will not be accepted in your country as I reside outside of the USA. Try at other drug stores to see if you can get fluconazole as it is a simple drug and should not really require a prescription, but if at all you cannot get your hands on it then just go ahead with the topical cream application twice a day for the next 2 months.

Best wishes.
