Suggest Remedy For Itchy Lumps On Arms
Question: Hi, I have these dark itchy bumps on the back of my upper arms. They started about 7 months ago and haven't let up after constantly using hydrocortisone cream. It starts with a terrible itch and after I scratch, it develops into a hard dark bump that continues to itch badly. It leaves a dark patch which has now disfigured my arms. I had never experienced issues with my skin prior to this and can't think of a cause for it.
Also, I sneeze a lot and have a runny itchy nose most mornings and at night time. The sneezing is triggered by several things including fragrances, air fresheners, strong spicy smells, dust, smell of bleach or any cleaning agent etc. I am in my late 30s and have never had respiratory problems. Not until this started about 1 year ago.
Can you help me pls?

Brief Answer:
Get a routine blood count done. Share the report. Upload image of the area.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have carefully gone through the details provided. To be able to help you, I would need the following details:
* An image of the affected area. You can upload it using the facility on the upper right of this page.
* A blood count (including the total and differential leucocyte count).
* Serum IgE levels.
I would suggest you to avoid application of hydrocortisone cream as even if it makes it go away faster, it also makes it come back faster. You may apply emollients like aloe vera lotion or some other moisturizing cream. Take some antiallergic like cetirizine as and when required.
Regards
