Posted on Sat, 25 Oct 2014
Question: Hi,

I have had a UTI for a few weeks now. Started with macrobid for 7 days and symptoms went away after 3 but then came back so my dr changed it to keflex on day 4. I took keflex for 3 days and it started causing an allergic reaction do I was switched to Cipro for 3 days. I was feeling great but the day after I finished my last dose, the increased urgency to urinate was back. Although there have been WBC in my urine, two cultures have come back negative. Is this common? Could it be cancer?

1.After going through your history and symptoms - the diagnosis is - recurrent urinary tract infection UTI.

2.Ned to evaluate the cause for the recurrent infection, suggest to get an ultrasound examination.

3.Ultrasound examination will assess the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder - if there is any irregularities in the bladder wall, mass lesions, calculus and obstructive pathology and so on.
