Brief Answer:
Pariet, is a very good medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your concern.

I read carefully the information your provided.
Pariet (rabeprazole) is one of the best medicines used for Gerd, because it binds irreversibly the pumps that cause the moving of the protones that gives acid in the stomach (called Proton pump inhibitor).
Using either it, or other drugs of the same family of drugs like omeprazole, esomeprazole, lansoprazole, ect) will surely give you a relief in the symptoms.

You will also need to be careful of what you it (avoid foods that add acid in the stomach), eat often and small amounts, eat several hours before sleeping and as much far from it, ect.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you have further queries.

Take care,
Dr. Klarida
