Brief Answer:
till date of expected periods

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I understand your health concern.
Estradiol is a hormone normally present in body and is given from outside to support the endometrium in case found thin in ultrasound study.
It is given till the date of expected periods and then a urine pregnancy test is dobe .
If test is positive then keep taking the tablets but if negative then it is stopped and then patient is asked to just wait for her periods.
Take care

Brief Answer:
good chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
No progynova is not a contraceptive it is given only to help in maintaining endometrial thickness.
And yes if everything goes fine there are fair chances of pregnancy.
All the best

Hi doc.thanks for your reply !!
Doc, I am 34yrs,all good reports, both tubes ok....my LMP was 16th January15,20mn and 18mm ruptured on day 14th.my endrometrium was 7.8 on day 14th and I was on 6mg progynova 3 times a day. Now it's my 17th day...do I beed to continue the same amount of progynova ??
Is there any injection available for estradiol? What are the reasons for low estradiol in a woman ??
Should I continue the same 6mg estradiol ?? Pls guide
doctor

Brief Answer:
same dose will continue

Detailed Answer:
Yes you will have to continue same dose till you test positive for pregnancy 14 days after rupture of follicle that makes it day 30 of your menstrual cycle.
Low estradiol is usually seen in patients with poor follicle quality but low estradiol is not a documented reason in your case for thin endometrium.
Estrogen will help in gaining good thickness which is thin due to unknown reason in your case.
Estrogen will imbibe good amount of nutrition in endometrium and also support blood vessels already present so that proper growth (hence endometrial thickness) is regained.
Keep taking in prescribed dosage.
All the best

Brief Answer:
tablet ondansetron advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, hopefully it is a good sign and probably baby has got implanted in your uterus so giving you symptoms of pregnancy.
But still it can also be the effect of lupigest which has micronised progesterone.
Take tablet ondansetron twice a day till you feel better without it.
It is safe in pregnancy (if there) and doesn't interfere with implantation of the baby either.
All the best.

Brief Answer:
ultrasound and bHCG advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, I understand your anxiety.
Yours is a case of delayed conception and the good news is pregnancy is definitely there.
But the problem part is that there are also chances of tubal ectopic pregnancy so get an ultrasound via transvaginal route.
And in case ultrasound is inconclusive then get a repeat bHCG test after 2 days so that we can see the rise of bHCG and thus relate the findings and manage accordingly.
But active testing is needed so don't waste time and get the tests done as soon as possible.
All the best.

Thanks for the reply Doc,

Is any medicine to be taken ??

Don't you think...an ultrasound finding will be too early to get it done ??

When to repeat beta hcg ??

I have no symptoms of ectopic.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Manisha Jain (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
start medicine after ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Yes ultrasound will give us the desired information but in case unequivocal finding is there then repeat bHCG after exactly 48 hours of the pervious test time.
Rise in bHCG to roughly double of the previous one will give reassurance that it is an intrauterine viable pregnancy.
Start with progesterone and estrogen as before after ultrasound report if it shows unequivocal finding or an intrauterine pregnancy.
Symptoms in ectopic pregnancy and early intrauterine pregnancy can be quite similar so cannot be distinguished.
You can discuss the report with me anytime on health care magic.
Take care

Hi Doc, thanks for your help.

Today I will go for ultrasound and one more bhcg.

Can you pls suggest some injections for progesterone and estradiol ?? Bcz taking so many tablets and remembering them really bothers me. Bcz sometimes I forget.

Brief Answer:
estrogen injection and progesterone patch

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, I understand the compliance problem.
You can look for estrogen patch which is readily available and easy to manage.
For progesterone there is susten or gestone injection available which can be taken once a day and will suffice the purpose but it is very painful at the injection site.
You can try patch for estrogen and injection of progesterone (no estrogen injection available).
Waiting for the report of bHCG and ultrasound and hope it is a favorable one.
All the best.

Hi Doc,

I been to my gyne today...as I was feeling body ache but there was no fever. She suggested me Crocin to take if it bothers me. Is it fine take Crocin ???

I had given bhcg but report is waited for tomorrow.

My gyne says....it's too early to go for ultrasound....so she told me to go for it on 5th of this month.

She prescribed me few tests.i gave the samples.

She also suggested me to continue progynova. Which I am doing 4mg 2 times a day.
She gave me an injection for hcg as well and said that no need to take progestrone with this. Is it true ??
She put me on folxit also twice a day.

Should I still go for ultrasound mam ??? Is the above prescription is right ??

Added information

Doc my gyne took....HPT which came 2 shades lighter than the dark line. What does it mean ??

My BP is also on the higher side. 106/130

Really need your help. She asked me to stop salt completely.

Pls help

Brief Answer:
precautions advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, first advise is to relax and stop being anxious.
Yes you are pregnant and the lighter line means most probably it was a little early to test.
As you have given bHCG test the conclusive evidence of pregnancy will be in our hands in a while.
Your prescription is right and thus continue progynova and other medicines as prescribed but I want to add duphaston 10 mg twice a day, you can discuss it with yyour gynecologist it is also a progesterone bit different from micronised progesterone but very good for the growing pregnancy.
Ultrasound on 5th is necessary and thus you should get that done as it will tell us the site of pregnancy whether inside uterus or in fallopian tube (as you had a faint line in urine test).
You can take crocin whenever you feel like but not more than three times a day.
Your blood pressure is also very high and is probably due to anxiety also so just relax as much as possible and stop being anxious.
Stop salt and fried food and avoid heavy work or exertion.
Just get the reports and then we can discuss further management.
All the best.
