Brief Answer:
Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

Congratulation on your pregnancy.

Normally a low dose aspirin can be given during pregnancy to prevent pre-eclampsia and eclampsia if there is a history of hypertension.

It can also be given in patient with history of blood disorder and antiphospholipid syndrome to prevent pregnancy loss.

It is not advisable in the last trimester of gestation because it can cause the fetal Cardiovascular disorder (closure of ducts arteriosus) and affect fetal and maternal hemostasis and cause increased maternal bleeding.

But if your doctor suggested it there may be some reason behind it.

Hence whether you should continue it or not depend upon your medical history.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Good luck.

I was diagnosed with oligohydramnios (AFI 8) (we traveled at least 6 hours on the day of scanning, even the person scanning asked if I had travelled) . Not sure if this was the indication.

Please also let me know what we can do to get to the normal level of amniotic fluid.

Aspirin may cause oligohydraminos.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again.

Aspirin may cause oligohydramnios, so you should consult your doctor for the same.

By following measure you can increase your amniotic fluid and improve your amniotic index.

-Drink a lot of water orally
-Take bed rest
-Lying down in your left lateral position
-Take fruits and vegetables, which are having a high content of water in it.

Hope it is useful.

Good luck.
