For the past couple days every time I sit down my left leg starts to ache. like a XXXXXXX horse. it only happens when I am sitting down. if I'm standing or laying It doesn't bother me at all. it also feels like I am sitting some something under my left butt cheek. what could be the cause of this and should I be concerned? I have a 3 week history of left numbness in my hand and arm. It involves the index finger and thumb mainly. It is intermittent. I have no pain. I had an anterior hip replacement almost one year ago, and have recovered from it beautifully, having no issues at all. But suddenly my upper thigh on that (right) leg hurts so bad i can hardly stand the pain! Nothing seems to help it! Not pain meds, not heat, not ice, not rest - it hurts no matter what! Advice? (of course I will see the surgeon who did the hip replacement at his earliest appointment date - Oct. 30)
