Brief Answer:
yes,staphylococcus can cause infertility.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,

Yes,the staphylococcal bacteria may be responsible for your infertility. So it would be better to treat it.

However, if you are trying to conceive for more than 3 years then other conditions like uterine abnormalities, ovulation problems and tubal blocks also need to be ruled out as they are also potential causes of non conception.

Also,if your test reports are normal and your husband's semen analysis is normal. You should have conceived as you are quite young.

Go for vaginal swab test and urine culture sensitivity testing with routine blood counts for staphylococcal growth detection in vagina.

You can go for hysterolaparoscopy or HSG (hysterosalpigograhy) test to know patency of fallopian tubes.

If HSG is done, you can go for IUI treatment before opting for laparoscopy.

So discuss these with your treating doctor (gynecologist or infertility specialist) and get investigated for optimum results.

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

Regards,

Uterine, ovulation and fallopian tubes its ok.This is the problem that i think that maybe staphylococcus cause my infertility because all the other analysis is normal. Also my husband's semen is normal. I am very upset about the fact that all analysis are well and we do not know the true reason of my infertility.

Brief Answer:
Get treated for staphylococcus.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the reply.

If all your reports are normal including your husband's semen analysis then I would suspect this staphylococcal infection could be the cause.

So,better to get investigated further and do culture and sensitivity testing to identify the correct organism and it's sensitivity to our antibiotics,so we can plan correct antibiotic use and it's course.

Your treating doctor or gynecologist will prescribe you complete and appropriate course of antibiotics treatment.

Also, reduce your weight if you are obese and quit smoking and alcohol if you do.

It would also be effective to have a sexual intercourse at the right time to conceive. For which you will have to do it exactly on the middle of your menstrual cycle.

For example: if you have a regular periods cycle of 28 days and suppose your menstruation starts from the 1st date of the month, then you might be expected to ovulate (release of ovum) on 14th date of that month.Although ovulation can be pre or postponed for 2 days sometimes.

So considering these facts, you can have unprotected sex frequently from 12th to 16th dates of that month, means almost exactly at the middle of the cycle which would be the best time period to get conceived.

Also keep in mind that semen should be ejaculated deep inside vagina. It may happen sometimes that sperms die immediately after ejaculation because acidic medium of vagina.

Is your thyroid profile okay?

Kindly get back to me to clear any more doubt.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment for staphylococcal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your quick response.

In the absence of any positive clinical findings of all the tests of both of you, then the only possibility could be staphylococcal infection responsible for infertility.

So as I said earlier, visit gynecologist and get full course appropriate antibiotic treatment to get rid off it.

In case your problem persists even after free from infection, then IUI (Intrauterine insemination) would be a good alternative to conceive.

Brief Answer:
Partner should be given prophylactic antibiotic.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your quick reply.

Generally, sexual partner needs treatment only in case of STIs but here there is no such requirement.

However, your husband can be given prophylactic antibiotic.

Do not worry, your gynecologist will know about it.
