Brief Answer:
Yes low risk of STDs.

Detailed Answer:

Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.

Several sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV, herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, HPV, and viral hepatitis can be passed on through oral sex as in your case if your partner was having such diseases. I advise that you must see a physician if any oral or genital lesions. If you have contracted any disease the chances of which is low then you have to wait for about 6 months. After that you can get tested for serological and molecular tests for STDs. PCR for HIV can be done after 7 weeks or 4 th generation ELISA test after12 weeks. Refrain from active sexual intercourse with your partner till tests or use barrier methods during intercourse.

Brief Answer:
Risk is 4 in 10,000.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

According to the researchers it has been calculated the rate of HIV transmission to be 4 out of 10,000 acts of unprotected oral sex without ejaculation. A XXXXXXX study found that 13.7 percent of syphilis cases were attributed to oral sex. I suggest that you to take serologic tests for HIV infection at 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months by 4 th generation ELISA. NAATs for C. trachomatis and N. gonorrhoeae after 2 weeks. 1 week to 3 months for syphilis and 6 weeks to 3 months for hepatitis C and B.

Hope I answered your query.

Brief Answer:
Take herpes test after 12-16 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

1. The average incubation period after exposure and development of herpes is 4 days and sometimes up to 12 days. Nucleic acid amplification techniques such as PCR test for viral DNA or RNA and allow for more rapid and accurate results. Several ELISA-based serologic tests are FDA approved and available commercially. For the most accurate test result, it is recommended to wait 12 to 16 weeks from the last possible date of exposure before getting an accurate, type-specific blood test in order to allow enough time for antibodies to reach detectable levels.

2. Don't worry so much. Try to occupy yourself in household and work related activities. Practice meditation. Anti-anxiety drugs like alprazolam or clonazepam can be beneficial.

Brief Answer:
Observe yourself for symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

1. No you cannot take 5 days to identify herpes by visual symptoms. The infection of herpes varies from person to person. It has been found that most individuals infected with HSV-1 or HSV-2 are asymptomatic or can even have very mild symptoms that go unnoticed. So in that case you might not know that you have herpes. About 87.4% of infected individuals remain unaware of their infection. The symptoms typically appear as one or more vesicles on or around the genitals, rectum or mouth. The average incubation period after exposure 2 to 12 days. The blisters are painful ulcers that may take two to four weeks to heal. Sometimes patient can have fever, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, and headache.
2. As far as your GF is concerned without examining it cannot be concluded that she had herpes. If you think so get her to physician and start her treatment. So that in future she has no problem.
3. As far as HIV is concerned I have already explained. You can take PCR test after 6-7 weeks and ELISA test after12 weeks to find the status.

Take care
