Question: I received a hand job from a masseuse. That's it. She used oil and no bodily fluids were passed. Is there any chance she could have passed me an std?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

By the act which you have described there are no chances of getting STD or other infections. To get STD you need to come in contact with the affected part or unprotected sexual act with infected person.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

I heard that people can get herpes on their hands and spread it that way. I've also heard that you cannot spread any std through touch, hand job, or fingerings

Brief Answer:
If the opposite person is infected

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If the opposite person has active skin lesions on the hand, then chances of spread will be there with the acts which you mentioned.

But you can see the active lesions on the hand. If it is not there, then there is no risk.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Which I'm sure to have hand lesions of any STD is Damn near impossible or almost extremely unlikely.

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Herpes spread is remotely possible (extremely rare) without active lesion; but not other STD's.

Only cervix infections can be unseen to eyes. Skin lesions are clearly visible.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

It was dark, but even still. I am very sure that I would feel lesions On her hands. plus the event that it's probably one in many millions that it spread to her hands anyway.

Brief Answer:
Yes Uncommon

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes it is less common. So don't worry. Yes as you said you will be able to feel if any lesions would have been on hand. In my opinion the possibility of infections from the described event is extremely rare and you shouldn't be worried about it.

Let me know if you have symptoms of itching, rash or fever. We can discuss further plans accordingly.

Hope I have answered. If no further queries are there you may close the discussion and rate the response.

I doubt that there will be other than symptoms from anxiety. I have never heard of anybody catching an std from a hand job and have read that it is actually a practice of safe sex.

Brief Answer:
Only herpes can spread

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Only herpes infection can affect any part of the body, so if a person have active lesions and that come into contact then it is transmitted.

Other STDs are transmitted only by oral, vaginal or anal sex or there secretions .

Anxiety is not a symptom of Std .

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

I understand that. I guess what I was saying was that herpes out breaks are occasional as it is and extremely rare to spread to other parts of the body so the chances of her getting lesions on her hands and me coming into contact with them is one in millions if not more. Given that she carried the virus at all.

Brief Answer:
Yes Chances are less

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes the chances of getting infected and spread is less , so very unlikely that has happened.

So you can relax in that matter.

Hello again. 6 weeks ago, I received a fellatio from a massage parlor worker with a condom. I don't believe there was any skin to skin, but she could have put it on with her mouth. She did not have any symptoms that I could see around her mouth. I shaved to the skin all around my genitals the day prior. THe whole thing lasted less than a minute. The following weekend, I went to visit family and had forgotten any changes of clothes so I wore the same underwear for 4 days straight and had ran a few miles in them on friday before I left. By that Sunday, there was definitely some heat coming from my genitals, so I put some after shave lotion on there, which seemed to make it worse. I put Cortizone cream on there and have been feeling better since. I was also tested for all STDs (including HSV1 & 2) which came back negative and was diagnosed with folliculitis and given Bactroban. Which I also had loss of appetite and nervousness, hard time sleeping at night. That was two weeks ago and now I think my nerves are getting to me as I have a fiance and I don't know if the things I feel are actually something or in my head. I did have a random muscle spasm like feeling that would occur in the tip of my penis, but no discharge and would random feel discomfort, but would not itch in the tip. It did not burn when I urinated. That feeling has since gone away so I am thinking it was just my anxiety. I went and saw my doctor today and received anxiety and depression medication, but after leaving there, he has me worried sick about HIV. I went there to confirm that I can't have herpes and now he has me worried about a whole other viru . Any help would be much appreciated!

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Because of shaving of the area and unhygiene and sweating you must have developed folliculitis. Nothing to worry about that.

Your symptoms like nervousness etc are not related to this . That is your stress and tension. Try to come out of anxiety as much as possible by yourself instead of depending on drugs for anxiety.

As there is no itching and discharge so unlikely it is STD .

Getting infected with HIV in your case is unlikely because
- the act was for a short time
- you were waring condom
-through saliva it won't spread
- to spread she should have cut in mouth with active bleeding which comes in contact with your blood from cut wound. This is unlikely to happen.
-if the blood comes in contact also chances of spread is very less .
-HIV symptoms won't appear so soon .

So don't worry. As such it is not necessary as chance of spread is not there and I won't suggest , but still if this matter is disturbing you very much then you can get done HIV test. So that you can relax after the result.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
