Are Slight Abnormalities In The Pancreatic Duct Signs Of Stomach Cancer?

Question: I have been having on and off pain in the front lower right side below my stomach for over a year now. I have diverticulosis and thought that was the pain was from but I am not so sure now. For a couple of months now I have had that same pain in that area that is more consistence and I now have more symptoms that are in my stomach/abdomen.. i have lost 25 pounds in 2 months, do not have much of an appetite, i feel bloated a lot, nausea on and off, a lot of gas and indigestion/heartburn, stomach pain on and off especially when I need to go potty and have to push a lot and hard to go potty yet my stools are very soft. Throughout the day and evening I will just start sweating profusely for no reason. Last week I had a CT scan which showed slight abnormalities with the pancreatic duct and bile duct. Two days later I had an MRI which confirmed the CT findings that the ducts were slightly abnormal and widened but they did not show what or why they were like this and did not explain my symptoms either. Therefore an order was then put in for an endoscopy to see internally (hopefully) what is going on and that it would have to be done at XXXXXXX Kaiser as that is where this is done. i was called Friday and told that there were only two doctors at Kaiser in this area that do this procedure (one is on vacation) and I wouldn't be able to have it done until September. I am a Kaiser member and was an employee for 38 years. One year ago we moved to the XXXXXXX area and I retired but still have full medical coverage at Kaiser (Cobra) until this coming November. I am not able to do what I need to on a daily basis due to the discomfort and pain and other symptoms. What do you think? You should also know that cancer runs high in my family. Also my brother died approximately 12 years ago from stomach cancer. He never had any symptoms except one day he started having trouble swallowing, went in and within a very short time was diagnosed and died of stomach cancer.

Brief Answer:
Life style modification.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for query.

acute phase of your recurrent diverticulitis antibiotic therapy is required but once the acute phase settles down. Severe and drastic life style modificatory changes have to be followed by patient for many months to avoid recurrent attacks.
Though not asked by you but all your problems from constipation to loose stools to belching and bloating all can be treated only by life style changes. Medicines can help you but can't cure you. So go through each line carefully.

Not exercising enough, not drinking enough water and delaying a bowel movement can worsen your symptoms. The most important factor in curing you is strict adherence to natural and simple diet. This should consist of unrefined food such as whole grain cereals, XXXXXXX honey and lentils; green leafy vegetables, like spinach, beans, lettuce, celery, asparagus, carrot. Adding some fat to meals or increasing the size of a meal such as breakfast can be helpful. Individuals suffering from diverticulitis should increase the amount of plant foods they consume to get more fiber in their diet.

Secondly human gastrointestinal tract is colonized by 1013-14 bacteria of 400 different species and subspecies. They are responsible for proper digestion of food. Depletion of this flora due to repeat antibiotic therapy and infection has lead to severe digestive problems in your case.
Intestinal flora are types of microorganisms known as probiotics that live normally as part of the intestinal tract. These organisms have several functions that help the body. The most plentiful and important bacteria in the small intestine is the Lactobacillus species. Lactobacillus helps ferment indigestible carbohydrates. It also helps to stimulate the digestive process and aid the absorption of nutrients,as well as increase the motility of the gastro intestinal tract. I would suggest you to keep taking a good probiotics like Econorm thrice daily for few months .Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for digestion. As your gut flora will improve her constipation would be relieved and well formed and digested stools will pass.

Please message me,
Your diet plan?(food habits).
Do you like junk foods?
A feeling of incomplete evacuation?
Your smoking and alcohol habits?
How much water do you drink in a day?
Please answer so that i can make a comment on CT scan findings and treatment could be suggested.

Waiting!
