Brief Answer:
needs examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi Arra,

Thanks for writing to us. i can understand your concern.

You have mentioned symptoms of 3 days. Headache, nausea and left hand numbness are prominent symptoms.

Headache can be due to any reason it may be low blood pressure, low glucose, thyroid problem, and ear-nose -throat infection, any visual problem and so on. We need to rule our possibility by history and examination.

Nausea can be due to anxiety and some gastric discomfort. I need to know your menstrual history also.

Left hand numbness needs to be examined properly by physical examination and if needed x-ray or ultrasound then only we can rule out carpel tunnel. We need to search for nerve compression from hand to cervical spine.

- Is there any stress in your life? If yes , describe in detail.

- Since when problem is there?

If no physical cause is found out, then only we can say that these are due to stress or anxiety.

I will be happy to help you further after your response.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Well my last bloodtest went ok 7months ago. I was really stress since last month doesnt stop worryingand had a UTI last week. When Im not thinking of me being sick it goes away. I have a history of worrying too much due to an misdiagnosed medical issue. And it lingers in my mind for the past 2 years. I was really traumatized by that. The numbness is when i twist my arm i feel pain. When its on resting position its feels like numb or im just thinking its numb.

Brief Answer:
possibility of anxiety seems more

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,

Thanks for clarification. Sorry for delayed response.

From history it seems that your problem is anxiety likely.

If I were your treating doctor I would like to do physical examination to check for any physical problem. When this comes normal (likely possibility) I would recommend serum Vitamin B12 and thyroid level, if not done.

After confirmation that it is just anxiety about health issue, I would recommend psychotherapy like CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) with low dose anti anxiety medicines for short duration. And later stage if problem does not resolve I will start specific anti anxiety medicine from SSRI group of drugs.

You can discuss this approach with your doctor and move forward.

All the best.

Feel free to ask further.

Brief Answer:
yes you are right likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for more information.

Whatever the symptoms you have mentioned can occur in anxiety. Just we need to check for physical cause if any to confirm the diagnosis. Sometime concern about health also increases anxiety and increases symptoms.

I recommend consulting psychiatrist once. you will be surely benefited with anti anxiety medicines for short duration. Ultimately with counselling you need to learn avoiding thinking about such symptoms and relax yourself.

For a while maintain healthy lifestyles. This includes regular daily exercise (walking or running), hygienic food habits (no junk food, no fatty food, preferably only home-made food with law salt and fat with more fruits and vegetables) and timely scheduled sleep. Yoga- meditation can also help.

If still any query there, I will be happy to answer if not, you can close the discussion and if feasible give your feedback and rating so I can improve my service.
