HI, I AM RAJNI FROM PUNE AND I AM 34YRS OLD AND 10 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY AND WEIGHT 74KG I HAVE A PAST HISTORY OF PCOD AND ENDOMETRIOSIS STAGE 1 AND POLIPS AND MY DOC HAS ADVICES FOR TRIPLE MARKER BLOD TEST IN 12TH WEEK .I WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE RISK INVOLVED IN MY PREGNANCY AS I AM A WORKING WOMAN AND AT TIMES ITS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO UNDER STAND MY HEALTH .

The triple/multiple marker blood test is a very good investigation conducted during pregnancy which helps in predicting how likely the fetus is to developing genetic abnormalities like Down syndrome, etc.
This blood test checks for levels of alpha feto-protein, estroil and hCG in it.
