White Spots On Arms, Neck, Shoulders. Applied Lulifin Lotion. Help

hi I am 19 yeara old.From last april i have meen having little white spots on my arms ,neck and shoulders..I consulted a doctor and he said it is a fungal infection and recommended me to apply lulifin lotion.Iam doing so.The spots have not appeared in any other areas bu they are not going.Please can you help me. I am greatly embarassed due to these spots.

Hi
Thanks for your query

You seem to have developed pityriasis versicolor which is a fungal infection .
Treatment for the same is in the form of antifungal creams and oral antifungals.
Long term application of topical creams is required.

Even after the infection is treated, the white marks can persist for quite sometime .
Most of the times the white marks regain color of their own but sometimes treatment for the white spots is required.
