He could continue oral prednisolone ( you have not mentioned the dose given) for 5 consecutive days. He could also take antihistamines like oral fexofenadine in the morning and Benadryl at bedtime. If the itching is still persisting, he may need injectable steroids for 2-3 days. It is better that he avoids eating sea food , especially the ones that triggered this episode.
