Hi,

According to your description the points that can help you are:

- After taking the depot injection is, it may take some time for regularization of reproductive hormonal levels, during that period sometimes intermenstrual spotting can be seen.

- Mononessa are combined hormonal contraceptive pills, which can help in prevention of pregnancy and regularization of the menstrual cycle.

But if the time of intake of the pill is altered or missed that can again lead to intermenstrual spotting.

- If the bleeding is not getting stopped with these two, you can go for antifibrinolytic drugs like Tranexamic acid.

As the depot can give protection for around three months, once the bleeding gets stopped you can discontinue the Tranexamic acid tablets, but Mononessa pills should be completed as per the schedule and then stop.

If spotting is continuous all the three months, better to shift to some other contraceptive measure. Please discuss these things with your Gynecologist and proceed accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
