Can Depo Provera Cause Small Red Area On Feet?
Hi, I am 26 year old female who just received a subq depo provera shot on Thursday (my first one ever). I noticed today I have small (approximately 1-5mm) red areas that blanch when I press them on the extensor surfaces of both feet and two on the index finger on my right hand. They are not itchy and are not raised. I can t find this as a side effect on the side effects listed with the drug, I have no other symptoms that I am aware of. Is this something that needs to be addressed or should I wait it out to see if they go away?

Depo Provera is not known to cause distinct small red spots. If the whole body gets spots or rashes then it could be due to allergic reaction and since this is not the case here so I would advise you not to worry.
I think you should just wait it out as it will most probably go away on its own. If the spots increase in number, gets itchy or painful, then i would suggest you to inform your doctor so that the medication could be changed if needed.
