What Is The Horse Shoe Shaped Mark On My Right Forearm?

I noticed a small, horse shoe shaped, mark on my right forearm, near my wrist. It almost looks like a tiny brand (like you brand cattle). It doesn t hurt, or itch. It isn t swollen. If anything, it s may be a little sunken compared to the rest of the area. My appetite hasn t increased (ringworm) and I generally feel fine. Can you tell me what this might be? Mant Thanks....

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand your concern for the horse shoe shaped mark on the right forearm.

It appears to be due to fungal infection of the area. In fungal infection or ring worms the appetite doesn't increase so do not confuse it.

In my patients with your kind of problem I generally prefer to give an anti-fungal medication with clotrimazole cram and sertaconazole cream with anti-fungal tablets to be taken daily.

All the best.

Homeopath Dr. Vinatha's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcare magic,

After reading your query what comes to my mind is Granuloma annulare or Mycosis Fungoid. What is the color of the lesion? Is it purple, pink or red? A proper diagnosis can only be made by seeing the lesion directly.

Since there are not itching, its not an eczema. So i would suggest you to consult a n expert immediately.

Happy to help,
Wish you good health
