What Is The Cure For Neck Pain, Tonsillitis And Pain In Back Of Neck While Standing?

Everytime I stand up my head starts pounding, almost as if it's weighing me down. It's so painful and I've never experienced anything like it. Also experiencing neck pain at the back of my neck and I've been to the doctors to be told I have tonsillitis (also having throat pain) but this doesn't explain the pain in my neck or the pain I endure when standing up which I am most concerned about

Hi, thank you for posting.

Tonsilitis causes head pain, but for a short period of time(for as long as the infection is present).
So I think that you suffer from a neck arthritis.

However, to find the right diagnosis you need a:
- Neck X-ray, to check neck condition and to confirm if you suffer from neck arthritis.
- Complete blood test.

The treatment is determined by the results of the tests.

But in these cases it is recommended to use antibiotic(for tonsilitis) and anti inflammatory non steroidal medicines(for neck).

You should contact an otorinolaringolog and a neurologist.
