What Does Positive Pregnancy Test, With No Pole Or Cardiac Activity Seen On Sonography, Mean After Having Had A Miscarriage?

Hi doctor my wife missed her periods we did strip test and urine test its positive period date is 1st of the month now its one month 15 days we did ultrasond sonography there is no pole seen and no cardiac activity seen is it normal or something three month back she had misscarriage.

Thanks for writing to Healthcare magic.
If the first scan shows no fetal pole or cardiac activity then a repeat scan is recommended after a week. if still no signs of progress in pregnancy then it is a miscarriage. If fetus and heartbeat is visualised then the chance of miscarriage is extremely less.
