I am 5weeks 6 days pregnant after having a frozen egg transfer.

Today I had a trans vaginal ultrasound and everything looked good apart from no fetal pole being seen. The nurse did say she thought a little mark laying flat against the wall may be it but couldn't be sure.

I'm so concerned at the lack of pole and heartbeat. Being XXXXXXX do I have cause for concern?

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
The fetal pole is not always seen.

Hi Doctor, please find attached my first dating scan when I was 5 weeks 7 days by last period (20/08/2016). I have those concerns that wish you could provide me some clarification. (1). I notice my Gestational Sac was measured smaller in days (5 weeks 3 days) comparing with the fetal pole measured (5 weeks 5 days). I read on the internet that if the Sac is too small or if it does not develop fast enough, it can cause a miscarriage. Should I worry my situation that the dating measure from the Sac is slower than the dating measure from the fetal pole? (2). Should I worry that I cannot see a heart beat at this stage? Although I have no bleeding or cramp showing a sign of miscarriage but I heard there is one type called missed miscarriage where there is no symptoms experience by the woman but only an ultrasound found no heart beat later on confirmed a miscarriage. I'm really worry for my fellow up ultrasound in a week time I cannot see a heart beat again. Is this common? Thank you doctor.

Today, I had my first ultrasound scan and according to the scan i am 6 weeks 4 days pregnant which I thought i was 7 weeks 4 days. I am not really sure what does faint fetal pole means? I have researched online and mostly its no fetal pole or no yolk sac but no faint fetal pole. My Doctor says that its late conception and I should wait for 15 days for next ultrasound. Is this normal at 6 weeks having faint fetal pole?

I am approximately 6 weeks pregnant with a twin gestation. I have worked OB for a year and a half so I am familiar with all medical terms if you need to use any. I was seen in my doctors office on Thursday of last week and he was able to approximate my dates with a date of conception being on or around 9/2/16. He was able to get a fetal pole on Twin A but was only able to see a gestational sac on Twin B as of Thursday that just passed. I have been having some left side pain that does not come and go but just remains like a constant pain on that one side so I went to the ER just to have blood work drawn and another ultrasound (abdominal and transvaginal). The ER doctor reviewed all lab work and said that it looked fine but I do not know the progesterone or HCG levels that were found but he did not seem to find anything wrong with my urine nor my blood work. The ultrasound revealed a fetal pole on Twin A with 105 BPM but in Twin B gestational sac they were still unable to find a fetal pole but it did reveal a yolk sac unlike the ultrasound that I had in my dodctors office on Thursday this week. My concern is with the pains that I am feeling as well as the no fetal pole on Twin B. I am hearing that it is common for Twin pregnancies to develop at different rates and speeds. So my question is with there no being a yolk sac being seen this early on in Twin B is this is a sign that Twin B will most likely be viable as well? Also should I worry so much about the pain that is about on a pain level of about 4 on the left side or could that just be my uterus stretching out? I have a copy of the ultrasound report and will attach it if you need to review it. I do see in the report where the radiologist stated that I have a Corpus Leutem cyst on both ovaries which I know need to be there to support my little babies as they grow. I am just afraid that I may have one bad pregnancy with Twin B and that I will loose both babies. Please help!!

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
Repeat scan after 1 week

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety about the issue.
I have seen the attached reports.
There are less chances of development in twin b as it seems like a blighted ovum which is common in twin pregnancy...

Subject: Gynecology (pregnancy and miscarriage)
Hi Doctor,
I am pregnant for 7+ weeks. I have endometriosis. My recent Ultrasound report done on 14 July 2016, is showing that the uterus is anteverted and is gravid with a single gestational sac. Yolk sac is seen within in; however it was not seen in previous USG report done one month back on 14 XXXXXXX the GSD is 24.2 mm (it was 14.7mm). The Trophoblastic reaction is strong in both reports.

The recent concerns are:
1. doctor did not get heart beat of my baby from the recent USG;
2. No obvious fetal pole they have seen in both reports.

Endometriosis:
1. Report on 14 July 2016: this cystic area was about 12.7 X 7.6 X 6.2 CM and its' volume is 318 ml.
2. Previous report done one month back on 14 XXXXXXX 2016: it was about 12.4 X 6.1 X 5.8 CM and its' volume was 236 ml.
I am taking Duphaston 10 mg since 14 XXXXXXX 2016.
Can you please let me know the following:
1. Do I need to go for D&C immediately (as my doctor is suggesting)?
2. Is there any hope for further development?
3. Is there any danger sing if I wait longer for D&C? If I go for miscarriage naturally, is there any complications to get pregnant in future? When will be the time limit for me to do D&C?
4. Can I go for further USG? When I have to do this?
5. is there any restrictions on my movement? I am doing job.
Looking forward to getting your kind response.
