I have been following a low carb/hi fat diet for approx. 1 year now. I am pre-diabetic and wanted to halt the progress in its tracks. Just received blood results. First listed is from 2013 second is now 2014 A1c 5.6 / 5.1 Chol. 222 / 429 Trig. 103 / 148 HDL 43 / 92.1 LDL 158 / 307 Chol/HDL 5.2 / 4.7 Non-HdL Chol 179 / 337 I am female, 62 yrs old. Would a lipoprotein particle profile prove these might be large & fluffy, or does it even matter? Am I in big trouble here?
