What Does A Bulge On Pelvis Indicate After Weight Loss?

Approx 5 yrs ago after intentionally losing 25-30 lbs, getting in better "shape" I noticed a slight bulge on my pelvis(right side),no pain or discomfort, visited my physician and showed him the area of my concern,he gave me a turn & cough exam and said he didn't believe it was a hernia,he thought it was an abnormality that became more apparent due to the weight loss, from time to time people have shared their hernia experiences with me and I wonder if in fact I have a slight hernia. Can one have a slight hernia that doesn't cause them any pain and has not increased in size and doesn't require medical attention? 59 yrs old,6ft tall 155 lbs,no maintenace medicines required, receive a yrly prostate exam
