What Do The Urine Tests And Ultrasound Show?

Pus cells in my urine has been found up to level of 20-30 one and half month ago, there after it has redached to 150- 200. After treatement if came to 1-2. For the last 1 month I have not taken any medicin for pus cells. Now it is 40-60. Ultra sound report showed :-
1. LEFT PELVICALYCEAL SYSTEM IS DILATED- MILD HYDRO NEPHROSIS CAUSE ? REFLEX.
2.GRADE 1 FATTY LIVER IS SEEN.
3. GALL BLADDER IS CONRACTED WITH THICK WALL.
4.PROSTATE IS MILDLY ENLARGE IN SIZE WEIGHT 29 GRAMS.
5. POST VOID URINE VOLUME - 9 ML (INSIGNIFICANT)

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your report shows the left kidney showing collection of urine within and this can be because of an obstruction or infection to the passage of urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder. The prostate is mildly enlarged and has little to do with the left kidney I guess.


The liver is showing fatty changes and gall bladder wall is contracted. These are acceptable conditions in the absence of symptoms.

I suggest you repeat urine culture and sensitivity tests and then discuss the same if you need further treatment for UTI. Also please continue taking lots of water. and do not hold your urine.
