What Causes White Coating In Eardrum During Ear Infection?

I had an ear infection which was treated with a Z-pack and and ear drop for the canal. The pain went away right away, but my ear has remained plugged up for 2 weeks. I have a white coating on my eardrum that looks like the drum has been painted white. What is this? Might it be from the eardrop suspension agent, or...? Age 59. 5 10 . 155lbs

Hello

The white coating can be due to dried up ear drops or a fungal infection. Please meet your ent doctor for confirming the same and further treatment.

Thanks
