What Causes Severe Bleeding Having Suffering From Endometriosis?

I have been bleeding for 5 weeks. I have had endometriosis for 23 years that |I know of. I went to the emergency this past Sunday where they gave me medicine to stop the bleeding. I have used this before and as I said to them it is not going to work; it hasn't. I am finding work difficult sue to bleeding through. What could possibly be going on and where do I go from here?

Hi,

For endometriosis if you are in the child bearing age group,
- Pregnancy is advised (to keep you in a amenorrhoeic state) or
- Oral contraceptives should be taken for 6 months
- Cap. Danazol is taken for 6 months (treatment should be started during menstrual cycle) or depot preparations can be tried
- Laproscopic diagnosis & staging under a doctor surveillance is must before commencing the treatment.
