I have had slight diarrhea for the past week and i m generally feeling run down and very tired. I ve been feeling very sick recently too which is more unusual than the other symptoms. I was eating well but it seemed to make me feel worse and i was constantly hungry so now i m skipping meals. What could be wrong?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Prolonged diarrhea which last more than four to six weeks usually is due to an underlying gastrointestinal disease.

The most common causes are diseases that cause inflammation and malabsorption of food.

I would recommend you to do a stool test and anot endoscopy.

Meanwhile, I recommend taking daily probiotics and drinking liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
