I had really bad tonsillitis over the weekend starting on a friday that included many tonsil stones, fever, chills, irritated throat, swollen lymp nodes on left side of neck. My throat only hurt in one distinct spot on the left side in front of my tonsil on that arched flap of skin, which was/is red and irritated looking. It is now wednesday and I have been taking ammoxicillin since sunday and everything has been healing nicely, but I haven't noticed a significant change in the amount of pain coming from this spot. Is this unusual with tonsillitis? Should I be worried. The spot hurts a tad less than it did this weekend, so, techinically, I guess it's getting a tab bit better, but it still worries me a little...
