Hi. Noted your history of itchy ear as if someone is picking the inside of your ear. Your ENT is feeling this to be due to Meniere's. Menieres has a classical three symptoms of vertigo (attacks can last anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours) loss of hearing in the affected ear. tinnitus (a sensation of ringing) in the affected ear. If all these three symptoms are present then only we can call this problem as Meniere's.
MRI can definitely see many a problems in the ears including otitis media, otitis interna, inflammation over semicircular canals and study of the vestibulochoclear nerve and so on .
