What Are The Side Effects Of Cipro Intake?

hi I've already gone to the doctor and it turned out i had an bacteria infection which seemed to be spreading to my kidneys. I felt throbbing pain in my back/sides for awhile until today, i;ve pretty much been constipated after taking cipro, which is what my doctor gave me. is this normal, i feel very uncomfrotable?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query.

This is one of the possible side effects of cipro and usually this is self limiting. You need to take lot of fluids, probiotics and high fibre food. Laxatives may help if there is no improvement on these measures. You can use Miralax or suppositories if necessary. It would not be good to stop antibiotics course at this point unless symptoms become too severe.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
