What Are The Chances Of Cyst Found In Thymus Being Cancer? Having Anxiety Issues And Swallowing Difficulty

My son is 23 and had an incidental finding of a cyst on his thymus. He has been referred to an ENT for treatment. What is the likelihood of this being cancer? He has had some anxiety issues of late, feels like his head is full , strange feeling in his chest, a little difficulty swallowing, hand tremors, and some mild transient muscle weakness in the legs, all of which could be associated with his stress level. Thanks for your opinion.

Hi. BY which test was the cyst found? Form the nice history you have given this looks to be related to more function of thyroid. Please go for a CT scan of upper chest and neck to know the exact diagnosis, your Doctor may go for FNAC. Check for thyroid function tests. Only tests can tell us whether this is cancer or no. So no anxiety till you get the reports
