Hi and welcome to health care magic.

I understand your problem and it is a common problem. Please do not worry. It would help to know your age as the causes are related to age.

You are having menorrhagia or very heavy periods. The common causes for these are :
1. fibroids: non cancerous tumors of the uterus that lead to heavy bleeding. diagnosed by ultrasonography.
2. in young girls there is a condition called puberty menorrhagia that occurs due to hormonal imbalance during the initial few years after begining of periods.
3. hormonal imbalances may occur at any age and lead to heavy bleed.
4. adenomyosis: the size of uterus increases leading to heavy bleed.
5. ovarian tumors that produce hormonal disturbances and bleeding.
6. endometriosis: where the uterine lining grows inside the abdomen rather than bleeding outside and leads to pain and may lead to heavy bleed.
7. bleeding disorders: where the blood does not clot easily due to defects in the clotting system. This is less likely in your case. Please check to see if you tend to bleed more after mild trauma to any part of the body.

Since you are already tired and pale, I suggest that you visit your gynecologist immediately and get yourself evaluated. You will also need a sonography, blood hormone evaluation and coagulation profile if needed. The treatment will then depend upon the cause. You will also need iron and vitamin tablets to help improve the anemia that may have resulted due to this heavy bleed.

Hope this was helpful.
