Every month one dominant follicle develop in one ovary which is going to be developed to the mature follicle to release ovum, ie ovulation. after ovulation it will develop into the luteal cyst which produces progesterone, if ovum is fertilised, it will result in pregnancy and luteal cyst will support it. If ovum is not fertilised, luteal cyst will disintegrates and result in bleeding, ie ovulation.
