I stopped smoking 3 months ago and for the past 2 months I have had sinus problems.I have gone to see doctor and he gave me antibotics but I am still having problems.I have gone to my family doctor at least 6 times and to a ears, nose and throat doctor once.I had a CT scan and it showed a sinus infectionThe antibiotics worked while taking them, but shortly after I had problems again. It gets very expensive going to see doctor. Please advise me on what I need to do. Thank you,W.Butler
If the CT scan shows sinusitis, then a proper treatment should be taken to cure sinusitis. Initially a course of antibiotics along with anti histamines and anti inflammatory agents to be taken for 7 to 10 days. If this is not helping then surgery can be planned to eras the disease. endoscopic sinus surgery can be done to relieve the problems.
