Suggest Treatment For Fever With Sore Throat

I am suffering form fever since 4 days with a throat infection (cough). I also have a runny nose since today. Have been taking Crocin, but there is no change. The fever reappears after 4-5 hours with chills. Body ache is not very severe. Please advise.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have fever with sorethroat which is due to viral/ upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take throat lozenges and avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication Sinarest. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get swab test, routine blood test and paranasal sinus x-ray done and start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
