General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
History of illness in query is very ambiguous so very difficult to assess the diagnosis .
After pneumonia there is clear cough in a patient having asthma, COPD , Hypertension , anxiety .
Usually such type of patient visit in my clinic I advise them to get in an X RAY chest to rule out tuberculosis as this is a very common feature that usually pneumonitis followed by tuberculosis . Also get in blood for C B C , E SR .
I advise my patient to take a syrup of CODEINE PHOSPHATE + CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE .
10 ml twice in day .
Since codeine is a prescription drug and also habit forming so please consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck.
