Suggest Diet & Exercise For Controlling HDL & Triglycerdie Levles

My ldl cholesterol is 182. HDL 46 and triglyceride 120. Is dieting and more regular exercise sufficient or I have to go in for medication? Couple of months before these were all within normal ranges during the last few days I had irregular food and exercise and I think that has resulted into present condition. Could you please advise.

Hello thanx for using hcm,
You can try with diet and exercise first , it surely helps in reducing cholesterol .If things doesnt work then you can start medicine.
Ldl and triglycerides are bad cholesterol which need to be monitored whereas hdl is good cholesterol .
Cut down on saturated fat sources which includes egg yolks, red meat, organ meats, full fat dairy products, processed foods ,Excess use of oil in cooking and frying.
Avoid use of coconut and palm oil in cooking .
Consume plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables .specially foods lke oats, beans, apples, strawberries provides good amount of soluble fibre which helps in reducing cholesterol.Olive oil ,almonds, walnuts and fish are sources of healthy fats.
Regular walking or exercise or gym workout helps in the long run.
