Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that thyroid dysfunction and high blood pressure, are chronic disorders, which can lead to serious consequences if not treated properly.

Thyroid dysfunction can lead to central nervous system dysfunction, cardiac arrhythmia and also high blood pressure.

From the other hand, high blood pressure can lead to chronic changes of the arterial walls, causing thickening and narrowing of the blood vessels with an increased risk for stroke and heart attack.

So, I would strongly encourage you to maintain your blood pressure under control.

Some tips to maintain a normal blood pressure naturally would be:

- reduce salt and caffeine intake
- try to lose some pounds if you are overweight.
- perform a lot of physical activity (yoga, walking, etc.).

Hope to have been helpful!

Wishing good health,

Dr. Iliri
