Spot Seen In Annual Pap Smear. Should Be Worried ?
My annual pap smear came back abnormal but was told that it was probably nothing but they wanted me to come back in to re-check me and do an ultra sound. The ultrasound looked great except they saw a spot that they thought was probably a pollup (sp?). When doing the physical exam they said it was not a pollup but it was actually just a spot, but they didn't know what it was. They gave me an antibiotic to take for 10 days and told me to come back after my next cycle. Should I be worried?
Hi, Thanks for the query. Spot in ultrasound could be just fluid in the uterus or a blood clot. But it all depends if the spot is hyperechoic or hypoechoic, then its easy to make out what it is.
