Sore, Raw Abrasion Between Butt Cheeks Above Anus. No Itching. Advice
I have an abrasion between my butt cheeks just above my anus. No itching pain or any sign that it's there. It looks raw. I noticed it only because for more than two weeks I realized that I felt a little uncomfortable/sore when I sat for long periods. I eventually decided to check and was surprised at what I saw. Its embarrassing so I am delaying a visit to the doctor.

Hi,It seems that you are having intergluteal intertrigo.there may be candidal and bacterial infection. Take antibiotics and abntifungal tablet for 2 weeks. Apply antibiotic cream till complete healing.avoid direct contact with soap. You take sitz bath in dettol water. Keep the area dry. After healing sprinkle antifungal powder for long period. Rule out DM and other immunocompromised conditions. Keep good hygiene. Have healthy food... Still, you consult dermatologist.. Ok

It seems to be fungal infection only.
It is quite common in this area because of increased sweating in this area resulting in more dampness which becomes very conducive for the fungal growth.
Apply locally CANESTAN ointment and take tablet FLUCANAZOLE 150 mg every week for 6 weeks.
In case itching starts,an antihistamine like CETRIZINE can be taken in night for a week.
I think you should be all right with this treatment.
