Should I Continue Ear Drops For Yellow Discharge From Ear?
my 20 year old son was diagnosed with an ear infection yesterday - extreme pain no discharge - emergency doctor diagnosed an infection and prescribed oral antibiotics and Otosporin ear drops - today he has a clear yellowish discharge constantly from the ear, should we continue with the drops?
Hi, I have read your query . In my opinion , your son having acute otitis media. you should stop Otosporin ear drops & continue antibiotic. Start Steam Inhalation, Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast & Decongestant nasal drops . Keep ear clean and dry. Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief .Consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential if you donot get relief. Thanks, take care and have a nice day.
